Welcome to amg1994psx's PlayStation page!

I'm AMG, and I will be using this space to share content, media and information about Sony's historical video game console, the PlayStation!. Welcome to all PlayStation lovers, I'm glad you stopped by!

This is the console I grew up on, the console with so many classic games that it's impossible to list them all. This is the machine that first scared the crap out of me (Resident Evil, 1996 by Capcom), the one that made me happy, sad, mad and emotional during more than 99 hours playing a single game (Final Fantasy VII, 1997 by Squaresoft) and even the one that made me realize video games could do all of the things films do, and more (Metal Gear Solid, 1998 by Konami)! Those are the experiences and memories I hope to share with and evoke in others, and there are so many more new PlayStation experieces to come and memories to be made!

I remember around 2000 or late 1999 a Squaresoft demo disk had just come out demoing their new games Brave Fencer Musashi, Final Fantasy VIII, Vagrant Story and Front Mission 3 and I knew that there was no way I could play all of those before the PS2 came out! I managed to play FFVIII but the 3 others were just 3 more added to my backlog of hundreds of games I had to eventually play. Those are just three of the thousands of amazing titles that were released for my beloved console and now that there are ways to run PlayStation games from SD Card and since I have received my Xstation, I can really start putting a dent in the 'ol backlog and share all of my experiences here!

Because I love the PlayStation hardware and electronics are a hobby of mine, I'll be updating this space with images and (hopefully) video clips of my upcoming Xstation install, a possible GDEMU dreamcast mod install and updates of all of my interesting auction pickups and thrift store finds.

What really made me love video games and the PlayStation in particular way back in 1996 was the games! The fantastic PlayStation game library is the subject I want to focus on mostly, and whether it's showing off my Physical Game collection as I add to it or whether it's updates/reviews of the latest Fan translations that I've played you will find it here.

Now that I've gushed a bit about my first console love, in no particular order these are my favorite developers from the original PlayStation:
